Why chiropractic
What an adjustment actually does.
The adjustment is a safe, natural, noninvasive procedure, and it is what a Doctor of
Chiropractic spends four years of postgraduate training learning to deliver precisely.
Correcting a misalignment reduces pain and inflammation, reduces muscle spasm and
tension, normalizes spinal biomechanics, and - more importantly - removes the
nerve irritation and interference that degrades how the whole body works.
Beyond the spine and pelvis, almost every other joint can be adjusted: hands and feet,
wrists and ankles, elbows and knees, shoulders and hips, ribs and jaw. Restoring their
motion increases the working life of the joint. Motion is also the only way to move
nutrients into cartilage and flush waste out, which is why athletes care about this as
much as patients in pain do.
